Construction of Sub-Base
Removal of top soil and vegetation to expose the sub-base.
The amount of topsoil will vary depending on how good the land is. On sloping sites a 'cut and fill' operation will be undertaken. Drainage will vary from site to site.
On all sites a membrane will be laid, this will help stabilise and separate the soil from the sub-base material.
A layer of clean limestone/ granite is laid and compacted. A second membrane is then laid on top of the clean stone.
We use various surfaces, all suitable for Indoor and Outdoor Arenas including:
The Sand and Rubber Surface works very well. But Our New Surface of Sand, Fibre and Rubber mixed on site to our own spec. will ride even better.
Once built you can forget about it and have confidence in the surface.
There is little maintenance but Keith will discuss this with you. We supply a leveller with all our new constructions.
Our New Surface
We highly recommend Our Own Sand, Fibre and Rubber Mix. This is not a Pre Mix.
The Fibres and Rubber are mixed at different stages into the top 50mm/75mm of Quality Equestrian Sand to give a very stable and firm ride. Freeze resistant and durable.
This surface is also ideal for adding to existing arenas to help stabilize sand that is riding deep. The Perfect Ride for the Professional and Beginner.
Top quality equestrian sand - firm and free draining. Not recommended on it's own as it will freeze
A Sand and Rubber Mix Surface.
This surface gives you added spring, laid at a depth of 50mm over quality equestrian sand or at 25mm mixed with sand and fibres.
